1841's and their rack mounts

Does it bother anyone else that the router can only face one way? Now, I know that cablesandkits.com sell the bracket to make it face forward, but at $50 per set is a little pricey. I'm a little **** when it comes to my rack and want everything to be neat and tidy, a bit of OCD, I think.
Anyway, since these are so bloomin' expensive, is there any type of router that's just as good as the 1841 but can actually face forward?

The only other models would be the 2800 series that you could mount in reverse. -

Otherwise he'll have to either live with them facing the wrong way, and I agree buy them on eBay for much cheaper, or buy the shelves OR go with 2800 series routers. So factor in the cost of using 2811's and regular wing brackets vs the 1841 and a shelf. Or mount everything backwards and the 1841s the only way they'll mount and turn the rack around backwards. LOL...you'd have thought I was on caffeine or something. My mind is racing!

That's what I thought about doing. Or I could just keep the 1841s at the top of my router stack and just not mount them at all. Or I could drill my own holes and thread it myself. I don't know how well that'll work, though.2017 Certification Goals:

ciscoman2012 Member Posts: 313Personally I'd get the shelves if you're willing to go that route. They're not that expensive and you can use them for other devices later on if your setup changes.
Also, like you, I enjoy keeping my rack as tidy and clean as possible. Looks more visually appealing to have them on a rack vs. just sitting on top of other devices.
Here's one more option if you love Amazon as much as I do.
