ICND1 Simulations

Hello every one . I want to ask that , is Packet tracer used in the simulations questions of ICND-1 exams ?

    They don't use packet tracer no.. Just some other simulation program they made.
    Lab:
    Combination of GNS3 and Cisco equipment if required.

    It's definitely a different type of simulation, and for a Cisco exam noobie it could take some getting used to unfortunately. My advice is to try the Boson exams, as they mimic the Cisco sims pretty accurately.

    So this means that using GNS3 or packet tracer for your practice of exams would be equally beneficial , as both are not used by cisco in thier exams ?

    For ICND1 I would just use packet tracer.. for ICND2 I would use GNS3.

    If anything packet tracer is more like the simulations in the exams than GNS3. I don't see why it matters anyway, you need to learn the CLI commands and both programs will let you do so and the commands will be the same on PT/GNS3/Exam sim.
