October 26th seems to be the release date. No word yet on Surface though.

Saw that today, time to gear up for Win 8 Exams. Anyone heard about the touch screen hardware for Windows 8. Apart from the Surface not hearing much on the hardware side[h=1]“An expert is one who knows more and more about less and less until he knows absolutely everything about nothing.” [/h] -

I think that is the GA release date not RTM. RTM is sometime next month. -

What I read was that is when the new computers with Win8 are available, and when we can all order the $40.00 upgrades (if you are so inclined to do so). -

Windows 8 is done and will be available through MSDN and TechNet on August 15th.
