    Yeah if i'm not mistaken though the upper is from a functional firearm. The only part he was able to do from the 3d printer was the lower. Still pretty neat though. Would be nice if we could get to the Star Trek replicators already. icon_lol.gif

    They've had metal 3D printers for a while, so you can make complete firearm from 3D printing.

    you can make every thing on a ar15 but the barrel/bolt/ and gas tube

    however you can make a crude barrell/bolt easily

    tbh a ak47 would be alot easier

    I still think we are a long way from the one device does it all 3D printers. Most printers are specific to the meteriles they can use. So to make a rigle currently you would need several seperate printers to do all the seperate parts.

    Also things like springs require heat treatments and further machining to be finished in to a working item.
