Windows startup

Hello,
Can someone tell me why every time I logon to windows 2003 server
the windows start with an opened folder (the folder is "c:\windows\system32")

    No idea... I've been playing with several different Windows 2003 installations for a while now, but that never occured on any of my machines...

    Is it a default installation? What did you do?

    it probably has to do something with authentication, if you modified it. like group policy icon_confused.gif:

    Not completely sure, but I have seen this with a couple W2K and XP machines as well. Usually happens after some system files have been modified and have effected something else (includes registry too).
    I would suggest viewing the various log files so as to find the cause.
