Hello everyone,
I am posting for suggestions and feedback regarding my resume. I will be applying for full time positions soon since I graduate in December and would like to have a polished resume. Also, what salary should I be looking for? I will most likely be living in Phoenix, but feel free to post your salary and the city you are referring to for that salary.
Thanks for your feedback. It is greatly appreciated.

I think I would put the education and certification parts next to one another (under experience)
also
I would put the Magna Cum Laude and Deans list as apart of the education portion instead of awards. -

Devilry: I like both of these ideas and will use these on the next revision. Thanks for the feedback
Kevin.cook64: I like the table you have for your Skill section. Might use something similar to that. Thanks for the salary ballpark. Nice resume also! -
Akaricloud Member Posts: 938Your resume is actually very well written and quite impressive. Around my area(Seattle), I would expect that you could get easily 75k+ and would have no problem getting interviews with this as is.

UniqueAgEnT Member Posts: 102Akari: Thanks a lot thats very nice of you to say. ~75k would be great for me so we'll have to see what happens when the interviews start.

Vik210 Member Posts: 197I think you have good education so it should say at top followed by certifications and awards. I had 4 years full time system/ network admin experience before doing masters but I was aiming at a completely different industry. I wanted to be in research so I pushed my experience to the second page.
I like summary to start some thing like..
A Post Graduate (M. Sc.) as well as a certified (MCSE, x,x,x) and dynamic IT Professional with over X years of rich and professional experience.. -
Alif_Sadida_Ekin Member Posts: 341 ■■■■□□□□□□OP, you've got some great experience. What kind of jobs are you wanting after graduation? Based on what I see, it looks like a lot of your focus has been on data warehousing.
I'm in the same field as you. I work for a business intelligence software company as a Senior Support Engineer making 80k here in FL. I would imagine you making that or more in Arizona. BI and data warehousing is a good niche to be in. Not as much competition like there is with Sys Admin and Network Admin jobs. Hence why the pay is usually better too
Since Data Analytic positions are in pretty good demand, you should have no problems finding work after graduation. I myself get contacted pretty frequently by recruiters with just my Linkedin profile. Good luck!AWS: Solutions Architect Associate, MCSA, MCTS, CIW Professional, A+, Network+, Security+, Project+

Thanks for the suggestion. I have been changing up my summary pretty often and it seems to keep improving. I think it would be useful to put post grad in master's inside of the summary since that's one of my highest qualifications right now. -

Post graduation, I am looking for similar jobs to BI/data warehousing. I am definitely interested in this field more than anything else I have touched yet and keep grabbing certs. Next I am looking into OCA since I see a lot of companies using Oracle.
What does your position entail? What systems do you work with? 80k seems like a solid salary in our field -

I work for a software vendor that provides an entire BI Suite. My job consists of me providing support to other programmers, database admins, BI developers, report writers, data architects, analysts, etc.
I help our clients with ETL development, report writing, OLAP, dashboard design, metadata design, security, server administration, installation, and performance tuning all involving my company's software suite. The environments I troubleshoot range from Windows to Linux servers. I support development and configuration with pretty much all databases that have JDBC connectivity (MySQL, MS SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, DB2, etc.)
Working in your position, I'm certain you've heard of my company. I'll send you a linkedin request so you can get more details.AWS: Solutions Architect Associate, MCSA, MCTS, CIW Professional, A+, Network+, Security+, Project+

Any other critiques/salary expectations?
Thanks for all your help!! -
ptilsen Member Posts: 2,835 ■■■■■■■■■■I haven't done a thorough look through, but based on my glancing I would only find room for minor content improvement. The format is pretty much spot on, almost identical to my own (I have dates where you have cities). It looks concise, and easy-to-read. You're hired!
Edit: For the record, this is probably the only resume I've seen posted for critique on TE that I've reacted to positively. Most have some big problems. I think you'll do just fine. -

I agree that some of the content can be improved, and I try to improve it here and there.
