Hi

I see everyone on this forum site has few to a lot of qualifications and i would like to know what job you all do at the moment, if not in IT then what job you are heading towards. I am a Network Technician in a secondary school and hoping to enter into industry when i have MCSA in 2003.

    Job title is Systems Administrator/Network Engineer.

    Charge of...
    Systems title I do all servers, web servers, SUS, exchange all clients & everything else I don't want to think about now.

    Networking title I do all Cisco work. 7,000 ports across 4 locations, couple big routers, ALOT of 2950s, 80+ VLANs, some crap 3500's, couple PIXs, bandwidth optimization/allocation, lots of fiber, WI/FI Aeronet & VPN connections along with roaming clients VPN. I'm busy.

    My current title is "Network Status Specialist", and I work in network/status monitoring for a cable ISP.

    I have 2 years experience in a customer service/technical support envorinment for end user services and 2 years experience in a help desk position prior to this. I would like to get into something a little more hands on next.

    Provider Relations Specialist, Provider Recruitment. I have student at state university A+ and have received classroom cert. I have not yet passed the A+ cert by comptia. Next Tri-mester I will take Network+. My future studies and certification will be in Microsoft Database and Security.
