No network support using the onboard - no driver (W7/2008R2) works, doesn't even recognize the unknown hardware and manual driver install doesn't work either ..
Saw on a few forums that people intend to try it so I thought I spare people the reinstall ..

I am such an idiot - I disabled the boot rom of the nic - or so I thought - the option doesn't turn off the rom but the nic altogether
