Is the 70-640 worth getting over A+?

It is worth getting the 70-640 if i am in help desk?

    If you are already in helpdesk and have the knowledge that the A+ would test for I say go for the 70-640. If you feel you have large gaps in your knowledge where the A+ material may help maybe go through a book as if you were to sit the test and go straight for the 640 without taking the A+. The A+ would be useful if you felt you couldn't currently get an entry level position in IT or it was required by your employer.
