Got this coming up any advice?

IT Specialist

Purpose: Diagnose Problems reported by end user and apply knowledge of the systems to fix the problems. Provide support to all areas of the company from the offices to the plant floor. Utilize tools provided to fix and better increase the efficiency of end users. Administer communication channels including but limited to network, phone and email. Prefer bi-langue for Korean and English.

Essential Duties:
[IT]
· Provide Technical support for internal customers related computer / network issues.· Create A.D. user accounts and record.· Install and maintain desktop and laptop workstations, printers and peripherals.· Document problems reported and implemented solutions.· Preserve the integrity of profiles and system configurations.· Secure and refurbish un-used workstations.· Test and inventory functioning and non-functioning components.· Arrange for disposal of non-functional equipment.· Maintain the Mobile / phone systems including mailbox maintenance.· Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and resolve them as needed· Set-up and maintain network PCs, printers, user accounts, user environments to include telephones, directories, email accounts, and various other devices· Assist with server set-up and maintenance based on IT requirements· Order equipment from vendors and maintain accurate inventory of assets[ERP]· Manage WM(wharehouse Management) Process· Support EDI development communication with customer· Trouble shoot for inbound(ex, PO,MRP), inventory(ex, Stock, QC, Production) and outbound(Sales) Process· Train and support operators on site as well as cooperating company work.· Maintain document such as WM manual, weekly monthly report.


Education / Skill / Experience Requirements:
· Minimum 2 Years IT experience.· Associate’s Degree or university graduated.· Knowledge of current and past Operating systems including 2000/XP/Vista.· Working knowledge of MS-SQL Server Administration· Knowledge of Windows Server 2008 Active Directory environment.

    Any idea what SQL and windows server questions they might ask???????

    be as honest as you can with your background and a good interviewer will cater the tech questions towards your background. The position doesn't seem to be MS-SQL server focused so the questions will probably be basic unless the role requires more.

    My advise would be center the interview around things you know and if they ask you something you don't tell him them you haven't worked with it before. The exact questions are hard to guess, at least when I've have been asked AD question like "what do you know about AD?" I tell them everything I know and what kinds of projects I've done with AD. thats normally the answer that they like to hear rather then something like "what are the FSMO roles?" and you tell them, it doesnt tell them youd be able to do the job, it just tells them that you took the time to memorize them

    Technical or is it going to be more personality based? Just be yourself and be honest, that's really the best advice I can give.
