CCIE Voice -> Who and how
Hi everybody. I am thinking really to going for CCIE voice and want to know who is also on this journey since short or long time. How do you prepare for this and what training materials do you use?
Home lab or learning on the daily job basis?
At the moment i have 2x 2811 and 2x 2610XM and 2x 3560G some ip phones (7960s,61s,40s) and a little vmware server but not started studying really.
I am a unified communications engineer and just finished my CCNP voice, but i`m a little bit scary about the ccie voice. Don`t know how my study plan should looks like. I have planned the CCIE over the next 1-2 years. Should i go for INE Workbooks?
I`m reading so much about R&S but nothing about Voice in this forum. Is there nobody who actually learning for IE voice except shodown? *g*
Cheers

Kelkin Member Posts: 261 ■■■□□□□□□□If you finished your NP Voice then I would say just lab lab lab.. All the theory you need you should have picked up with the NP-Voice.. now its just lab lab lab to get the experience under your belt.. the Voice IE lab isnt anything to be scared of.. Just alot of time management.
INE is good.. thats what I got.. but IP Expert is good as well so I hear anyway. -

If you read the comments under the blog he says where to start in his plan if you have your ccnp voice already. From CCNA Voice to CCIE Voice in One Year - A Detailed Study Plan - REVISED April 9, 2012

The rack rentals can be inconvenient sometimes in terms of response times, reliability, and having to block off 4/8 hours of your time in advance. All the phones in the lab are 7965, so try to get at least one if you can to get used to the color screen, but otherwise as far as features are concerned 7961s will do you just fine.

If you say "lab lab lab" so it is a good go to buy the following INE material?
CCIE Voice Video Course Series
CCIE Voice Lab Workbook Volume 1
CCIE Voice Deep Dive Lab Workbook Volume 2
And play as much in the lab as i can? -
woisch Member Posts: 40 ■■□□□□□□□□I have started to build my lab.
CUCM, CUCN, UCCX v7 running. CUP 7.0.8 also running BUT only for 90 days. :-/ Is there are 7 version running without expire date? I have read about 7.0. Is this right?
Its annoying to install every 90 days CUPs again and configure it.
Anybody a hint?
