Java and FF?
So I saw that the latest java and flash versions were available and decided to dl them for my organization. Well as I generally browse the web with firefox, i went to the adobe website and downloaded the standalone installers, then java. Now Adobe has clear links for i.e and other browsers. Now I thought that Java was a system wide installation not dependent on the browser, one installer. So why when I went to the download site (regular installer, not standalone) i got prompted for an xpi that is used on ff (Download Java for Windows Firefox) I went to the dl site in ie and got the regular installer. So whats the deal, is there a need for the xpi, and the normal installer and the offline installer for our offline systems?
