Understanding CompTIA's certification Expiration
So i got my Net+ in 2010 which means its a lifetime cert. I just passed the Security+ the other day.
Now when i log into the CompTIA account it shows 2 Net+ certs and the Security+ Cert.
The "CompTIA Network+ (2009 edition) ✳" says n/a for expiration date.
The new one that just appeared has the same dates as the Security+.
The "CompTIA Network+ ce" and "CompTIA Security+ ce" have the same expiration date 2015-Sep-03 and active date 2012-Sep-03.....
So whats up with this... are they making me re certify in net+ at the end of the expiration date? why would they issue me a new one...

You have 3 years to get 50 CE's. No minimum per year.
For example when I renew my Security+, it renews my Network+, and my A+.
Hope this helpsBS in IT: Information Assurance and Security (Capella) CISSP, GIAC GSEC, Net+, A+
