IPv6 - DHCPv6 Assignments

Hi reading the lammle book and a bit confused on the following:

The book reads -

Upon booting up in IPv4, a client sends out a DHCP discover message looking for a server to give it the information it needs. But remember, in
IPv6, the RS and RA process happens first. If there’s a DHCPv6 server on the network, the RA that comes back to the client will tell it if DHCP is
available for use. If a router isn’t found, the client will respond by sending out a DHCP solicit message—a solicit message that’s actually a multicast message addressed with a destination of ff02::1:2, meaning all DHCP agents, both servers and relays.

The sentence im concerned with is "If a router isn’t found, the client will respond by sending out a DHCP solicit message—a solicit message that’s actually a multicast message addressed with a destination of ff02::1:2, meaning all DHCP agents, both servers and relays".

Is he basically talking about the original RS???

as in if the original RS doesnt find a router it sends a DHCP solicit???????

or does the DHCP solicit message incur after the RA comes back???

please help, this IPv6 stuff is getting to me icon_sad.gif

Thanks in advance.
