load balancing with pvst

can anyone shed some light on this for me?
Going through wendells book which briefly skims over load balancing would just like to know


what is it with regard to pvst vlans and all that good stuff

how it is implmented

PVST allows you to select a different switch as a root bridge for a particular VLAN, not like the older STP, which elects only one root bridge in a switched network.

Hence VLAN traffic can be balanced and blocked links can be used optimally to enhance network performance..
