ipv6 interface question
kaynejenkins
This problem is only relavant to my 2620xm's when connected by seial. When I configure ipv6 on the serial interfaces, just as far as
config)ipv6 unicast-routing
config)interface serail 1/0
if)ipv6 enable
Once ive enable ipv6 on both ends of the serial link and connected the cable, the link flaps. With the error message
IPv6-IDB: Serial1/0 is down, IPv6 is (down, enabled): duplicate event ignored
This only happens on the serial not the fastethernet
The serial links use the mac address off of the fa0/1 interface
thanks
kayne

Can you get the link to come up without IPv6 on it? Have you tried putting IPv6 addresses on there?

found the fault, the routers dont support hdlc, so configured ppp on serial links then all was fine.
