Well if you buy the "Nexus" products you are fine, I am learning that "now". Before I didn't realize how different phone manufacturers were changing/adding stuff in the background so who the heck knows what is going on.
Twice now when I got a new phone Google locks my account because it was accessed somewhere in China. First my HTC and then as soon as I got my Motorola, I did initial setup and a couple of days later my account gets disabled due to access from another country.
