trouble with WIC 1dsu t1 config | NOT a wic1t

I bought 3 of these for my lab; I can't get them configured.

What kind of cable are you using? That would be my first thing to check with a down/down connection.

You can just set them for full time slots on both to use the full T-1. Don't need the speed there. You should set one side for timing internal and one side for line though I don't know if this will specifically keep it from coming up.

My cable is a home made t568-a / t568-b (cross-over)

You will only get up/down if you are at least connecting some of the pins correctly. You need to use a T-1 crossover not a standard ethernet crossover.
