Most affordable Computer Forensics course and credential?

There is CCE, CFCS,EnCase and others, what is least cost certification/training related to Computer Forensics, thanks.

Well, for just the cost of the certification, the ACE and AME from AccessData are probably the most affordable because they are free to take. The trick is they test you on your ability to use the AccessData Forentic ToolKit (FTK) or AccessData Mobile Examiner, both of which are expensive. The training and study materials are expensive too.

What you want is to find are college courses that teach FTK, EnCase, or both. You can take the forensic training for college course prices, and you will have free access to the forensic software for the duration of the course(s). Because most CF and DF certs are (at least partially) based on knowing how to use expensive hardware and software, this probably the cheapest way to go.

Nope, but I was headed in that direction. I was side-tracked by a network operations security opportunity that I couldn't pass up. One day I may get a chance to do endpoint forensics again.
