Folder Share Rename / Alias

Hi All,

Is there a way to rename a server shared folder, but to also keep the old name so that people do not have to amend shortcuts / mapped drives?

Not rename, but simply add an additional share using a different name and using the same permissions

Example - drive C shared using different names :

You should look at implementing DFS (Distributed File Share) even if it is only one server. This way the share name is hidden behind the dfs name and you can change servers, share names, etc without end users being the wiser.
