Virtualization for Dummies

I know next to nothing about virtualization. I don't think, at least at this time, that I need to become certified in it. I do, however, need to understand at least the fundamentals.
I'm looking for a good resource to learn from the ground up. I see there is a "Virtualization for Dummies" book that has good reviews on Amazon. Are there any other recommendations for good learning resources? Thanks!

Most of us have used Mastering vSphere by Scott Lowe.

Go to vmware.com and click Virtualization from the various banner items - there's some good overviews there to get you started with the concepts.

I am researching hardware info for setting up an Esxi box and there is a ton of information out there for free. I don't have any plans for getting certified but want to also build a decent foundation.
I kind of found myself sucked in enjoying learning about it though so who knows what I might do in the near future.
Vmware's site has quite a few pdf guides some more in depth and many that are high level.
