Hi,
I've only recently starting looking at server 2008 and thought it might be wise to update the old resume.
Not interested in going for the full mcse or mcsa equivilent yet but wanted the same as the old 290 server exam. Is there one near to this or which one do you suggest it would be better to start with please?
Cheers

If all you want is the basic cert, I hear the 642 is easier. I have already passed the 640 and I'm now studying for the 642, and the 642 does seem easier. However, it looks like the 640 exam is closer to the 790.Degree: Liberty University - B.S Computer Science (In Progress)

From there, you would take 70-648, which is essentially the 2008 R2 version of 290 and 291. There are some scope differences, but it's largely the same.
