Hi Folks,
I am looking for documentation on safety procedures related to handling Fiber Optic cables. I currently only know book knowledge; however, I do not have hands on experience when it comes to installing or handling Fiber Optic cabling. For example: do gloves need to be worn due to glass fibers? And does a specific type of safety glasses (clear or sunglass style lenses) need to be worn?
Thank you all
JJ

And don't jab yourself with a piece of fiber that's been stripped bare...
Those are pretty much it. I've worked with fiber a lot and have never had any sort of issue that common sense didn't mitigate.
Also, you'll find that working with fiber and having gloves on does not mix that well, as they just get in the way when you're trying to handle it.
Good luck!
