What I really want to know is why when asked:

What type of connector is used for VGA and SVGA monitors? (question from this site's practice exams) the answer is 15 pin three row female DB connector. Why is the answer not 15 pin three row male DB connector. My focus here is on the genders

I mean since the connector on the monitor cable is a 15 pin three row male DB connector why then isnt the answer for the questiion :

"What type of connector is used for VGA and SVGA monitors", not a 15 pin three row male DB connector instead of female?
Do you see my point here?

Please explain this to me. I would really like to know.

I've just been brushing up when this particular question struck me.
i'm sitting the A+ Core on Tuesday Wish me luck!
Won't want to waste 145U$ To be honest I'm feeling pretty calm about sitting the exams or should I be nervous? I think one of the main things for the A+ Core is to know SCSI and Laser Printers or cram them if you can't remember (What do you think?)

I'm open to all of your opinions but I'd particularly like a response from webmaster.

On your PC, the only male connectors you will find are on serial ports.

Helped me to remember that parallel ports were female. Consider women go to the ladies room "together" (parallel) while men tend to go alone (serial).

Whatever helps to remember, right?
