what is the bare minimum (cheapest) lab i should create if i want to create a lab and what components should i use?
i figured 2 routers or 2 routers and a switch? what models would be pretty cheap?

2 routers and a switch will work for your CCNA studies. Since price is a factor you can pick up 2 2501's and a 1912 or 1924 switch and all the cables for around 250.00-300.00. They may be cheaper now since I bought mine in Feb. of this year. I paid around 250.00 for my kit.
