OSPF Area Types

I am doing a Chapter 3 Lab 3-2, Multi-Area OSPF with Stub Areas and Authentication and i would like someone to explain to me the advantages and disadavantages of using the following in configuring OSPF:

1. Normal Areas
2. Stub Areas
3. Totally Stub Areas
4. NSSA

I am preparing to certify and i am trying to get my heard around these concepts its all a bit fuzzy rite now

Each of those areas have some special caveats.

Usually pertaining to what types of LSA are flooded through the network.
