Question:
you have a computer that runs Windows 7. you have a system iamge of the computer. you need to restore a single file from the system image. you must achieve this goal in the minimum amount of time.
What should you do first?
A.restart the computer and run system restore.
B. Restart the computer and run system image recovery
C. From Backup and restore, select Resource my files
D. From Disk Management, select Attach VHD.
the correct one is D. my answer is C, and i guess there is a typo, it should be Restore my files
Not sure why D is the correct answer. i can restore a file and save it in any location rather than VHD. Any thought2? thanks.

sratakhin Member Posts: 818Using the VHD is much easier. You just mount it using the Disk Management snap-in and then you can look for the files you need as if you were accessing another disk drive in My Computer.

testbuster Member Posts: 21 ■■■□□□□□□□thanks, sratakhin. you meant restoring my files would use a lot of space, so creating and attaching a VHD can speed up the restoring process and make it easy to find that file later?

sratakhin Member Posts: 818No. Basically, it's like mounting an ISO image.
There is a good article here: http://www.davescomputertips.com/2011/08/how-to-mount-a-windows-7-system-image-as-a-vhd/
Just lab it and you'll see how easy it is. -
