Just went to see what edition was being offerd by ISC2 with their official book, and was surprised to see that their latest edition was 2010. The domains have been updated in 2012 so does that make it not a good option to use that book? Any suggestions. Also with the latest release of books by SH and EricC is it better to wait for a little while so that any error/mistakes can be fixed or it generally does not matter?

AnthonyF Member Posts: 109ISC2 is coming out with a 3rd edition CBK. I cant remember when that thing comes out. I would just go ahead and pick up the Shon Harris Sixth edition. CISSP All-in-One Exam Guide,6th Edition: Shon Harris: 9780071781749: Amazon.com: Books
Shon Harris = Long winded
CBK = Concise in comparison
CISSP for Dummies = Cliff Notes
Just keep checking for errata on the publishers website. You should be able to catch the errors anyway after you are familiar enough with the material. I did not use EricC for my CISSP. Just Shon, the CBK and CISSP for dummies along with the NIST and CCCUre.org.
Regardless know the facts and you will be good to go. -
cyberguypr Mod Posts: 6,928 ModThe third edition is out, well some of it. It is available through iTunes at the ridiculous price of $12.99 per domain. They call it the "i-dition".

Consensus is that changes for 2012 are not much so all current material is more than adequate. -

Well have to save money for the next exam fee:)
