Question about MCSA: Windows 8

It was mentioned in the below website that MCITP or MCSA Windows 7 + Exam 689 = MCSA Windows 8
http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/certification/mcsa-windows-8.aspx
For my case, I already had MCITP (Enterprise Support Technician on Windows Vista).
Just want to verify will I be certified for MCSA Windows 8 if I pass 70-689 exam?

Are you contacting microsoft? -
Claymoore Member Posts: 1,637No, only the Win7 certs count for the upgrade. It says that right above the box that lists the eligible MCITP and MCSA certs.

RomBUS Member Posts: 699 ■■■■□□□□□□Yes, thats correct. If you have MCITP: EDA or MCITP: EDT/ or the re-named MCSA: Windows 7 you are only required to take 1 upgrade exam for the full MCSA: Windows 8 in exam 70-689. The problem is that there isn't any study material for the upgrade path...at least I havent found any yet.
In your case, Vista is not included in the upgrade path... you would need to take the 70-680 --> 70-685/70-686 --> 70-689 (for acheving MCSA: Windows 7 AND Windows 8 )
OR 70-687 --> 70-688 (for just MCSA: Windows 8 )
