I heard that the citrix certifications are really easy compared to other certs like CCNA and MCITP. Is there any truth to this?

Anything is easy if you study hard enough.
IIRC, Citrix tests are multiple choice so that may come into play versus say the CCNA that has simulations in addition to multiple choice.
