Booting to Vista off caddy
Hi
I have been using a bootable version of Vista on my caddy for imaging laptops/PCs using diskpart then gimagex
Yesterday I had to setup a new model Dell Latitude E5430, now we have an image for the E5420 so proceeded to boot to my caddy and use that image but it fails to load giving me this screen you can see in the following link
Windows 7 install will not boot from CD, Status: 0xc0000017 - TechSpot Forums
Now we also have other USB devices that boot to bart so I had to use this instead but this did not have diskpart so I used some partition app that I had on my caddy, dropped the partitions created a new one, formatted, set to active, then used gimagex to **** the image, on boot NTLDR was missing so I had to put in ta windows disk and do a startup repair, ideally I need to be using my caddy and have access to diskpart exact same process as with the E5420
Has anyone came across this? I am thinking it may be a setting in the BIOS
Memroy on laptop was 2 gig same as the E5420's so this can't be the issue
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks
Lee
