upgrading skills from windows server 2008 to Windows Server 2012

Hi Everyone,

Just had a question about upgrading to the mcse server infrastrucutre certification from the MCITP:EA 2008.

My Question is when I got my MCITP:EA the exam content was based on R1 and not on R2 do you guys think I should update my self to R2 then do the upgrade Path to mcse 2012?

That is absurd for many reasons.

Firstly you cannot retake the MCITP exams once you have passed them.

Secondly, would you (assuming it was actually possible, which it isn't) seriously want to pay and revise for 4 soon to be discontinued exams when instead you could be getting balls deep into the new track?

Are you talking about self-study to get acquainted with the newer R2 material? If so, then Technet will have all you need for that.
