GNS3 Interface Always Up..
I was trying to do a simple EIGRP lab with 4 routers, 2 acting as the "distribution" and 2 as the core. The distribution routers had uplinks to the core for equal cost load balancing.
I shut down one of the uplink, expecting to see no drop packets only to find out 5 pings were dropped (10 seconds). I looked at one of the core router on which the uplink was shutdown, and it didn't notice the distribution router was down until the hold down timer expired. Looked at the interface status and it showed as up/up even though the link was down.
Anyone know why GNS3 shows the interface as up/up even though the link is down? The interface is configured to send keepalives.
