Just passed Sec+
Hey all,
I passed security+ with two weeks of study time and zero IT experience. Well my question is - What do I do next? I'm considering CCNA so I can get a better understanding of networks. Opinions? How long should I allow myself to study for CCNA? Looking over Todd Lammie's book I'm thinking one month tops. I don't want to underestimate it but I read some posts in here about people passing it in 2 weeks with 0 experience so.. idk

Personally, I'd recommend getting the A+ before going for the CCNA. You'd probably be able to get some work experience after getting your A+, during your studying for the CCNA. Although, this isn't necessary.Goals for 2018:

Congratulations on the pass and welcome to the forums.
Passing with just two weeks of study time and zero IT experience is no small achievement, so it sounds like you have a strong aptitude for IT.
A CCNA cert will help you get a better understanding of networks but it also requires you to have a lot of direct knowledge of Cisco products and commands. I'd say that one month tops for the CCNA with zero experience will be challenging. You might like to post your question in the CCNA forums to get some feedback from others that have earned this cert: CCNA / CCENT Forums
If you're seeking to get a better understanding of networks, you might like to consider the Network+ cert. It isn't vendor specific but does require you to learn a wide variety of networking topics.
