VB shows all flash/usb drives as write protected
Bokeh
Running VB on MacBook Air with Win7/64. Cannot copy to, or delete files on any usb flash drive or usb portable drive. Says it is write protected. Have gone into registry and editing that to turn off write protection, but still no go. Any ideas?

VB ? Only now it as Visual Basic which probably has nothing to do with your problem.

bump. Anyone have an ideas why a usb drive would be write protected in Virtual Box, and if so, how to remove the protection?

Both the host and the VM are Win 7 x64?
Maybe try disabling UAC?
