Just want to share really.

To prepare for the exam I used, Cisco Press / Boson test engine, Exam cram with Measure Up and Todd Lemmle.

My advice to myself and anyone is to do as many Simulations as you can.

You may be giving a bit too much information there, chief.

Keep the details about what the labs for yourself. There are those that didn't get to sit the test yet :P

You're definitely right about labbing. It takes a lot of CLI time to be able to handle what's tossed. Cisco tends to ask round-about things, which doubles it :)
In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure.

I'll second Rogue's advice to edit your post and scale back on the amount of information you are divulging about the sims, because if you aren't violating the NDA you are pretty close.

As far as advice, if you are looking for any, I recommend going back and labbing it out. Watch some videos (INE's CCNA vids are free right now CCNA Associate Course - 640-802) and get another book, like Wendell Odom. You are definitely missing some critical information that would have made the sims a good deal easier, and unfortunately the only way to work it into your brain is probably by performing the tasks again and again.

Walk it off champ, you'll do better next time!

Don't feel bad, I failed it 3 times and then passed my ICND1, now about to take ICND2.

I highly recommend a real, hands on lab in comparison to the simulations.

Sir, what did you do to get over with the failings of ICND 1?
    Any new materials you used?
    Thanks.

@BackToSchool - I take it that you did the CCNA composite exam. Have you considered going the two-exam route (ICND1/ICND2) instead?

    Hi,

In my opinion is easier to take both at the same time, the composite exam.
I passed with 867 but my advice is to do a lot of labs.
