Starting today, June 30 2003, the new CCNA exam (640-801) is available. Also instead of taking 1 exam you can take 2 exams instead:
1. 640-811 Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices (ICND 2.0 or ICND 2.1)
2. Introduction to Cisco Networking Technologies (INTRO) (currently in beta 641-821 INTRO)

So currently there are three ways to become a CCNA

The CCNA 640-607 exam will be available untill 30 September this year.
Our CCNA TechNotes will be updated to accordingly.

I am preparing to get CCNA, so I don't know the different of 640-607 and 640-801. If you know more detail about this, pls give me some friendly advise. Thank so much -
prolific Member Posts: 22 ■□□□□□□□□□The 640-801 focuses more on EIGRP and goes in depth with VLANs and configuring switches is what I heard. The 640-607 doesn't focus at all on EIGRP but has some VLAN content, but it doesn't test you on switching configuration commands. There are 10 kinds of people in the world, those that understand binary and those that don't.
