Apparently some certification vendors require that a certification candidate have a separate Pearson Vue account for their certification(s) only. I just encountered this when I needed to get second PV account to sign up for a Juniper certification. My original PV account is associated with Cisco and CompTIA certifications, and this precluded it from being used for Juniper certs as well. Some cert vendors don't want their cert candidates using PV's site at all, and instead have their candidates use their own site to sign up for certs and check cert information.
