Tough Mudder or Spartan Race

Anyone ever try either one? I'm signing up for the Spartan Race in April. It's my first obstacle type event. Looking forward to it!

I have a couple of friends who did Tough Mudder last year. They absolutely loved it, and have almost talked me into it. I'm more inclined to do a more traditional run or obstacle course, though. They also did Rugged Maniac and Run For Your Lives, which both look like a lot of fun.

Warrior Dash is shorter at just over 3 miles. Good for newbies/out of shapies, but may feel expensive considering how short it is.

I have some friends that did that sort of challenge at the local National Guard's training ground. I guess they had a blast.

I did tough mudder. Tons of fun, but you gotta be in good shape to finish it.
