The only thing I bought from ebay is some Smart Serial cables.
I understand if the router or switch can post fully then its good to go. However I have seen many listings that say pulled from working environment and nothing more.
Am I better off buying a Router or switch with a 1yr warranty. Its about doubled the Ebay price, but I will have piece of mind.
I plan on going the CCNP route. So I figure I start buying stuff for the ccnp exams. At this time I am thinking of getting the Cisco 1841 router.
Others routers possibly considering 2620xm,2621xm, 2811. The only thing I see different is that you can add more modules to these routers.
I plan on building this thing slowly probably with in 1yr..

I'm on the same path for CCNP after CCNA
So far, this is what I have
routers:
2520
1721 (T1 DSU)
switch:
2950g
I'm thinking of adding
router:
1841 or 26xx XM
switch:
3550 or another 2950 t/c/g
3560
thoughts?
also, I have a T1-DSU module on the 1721 and serial ports on my 2520, will this hinder me in any way?On the plate: AWS Solutions Architect - Professional

For example my 2600xms have a total of 3x WIC-1DSU-T1 with only 1x WIC-1T. One takes a T1 crossover (RJ-45), while the other takes the serial DB-60

My advice, build to what you need at that moment. In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure.
