Fiber Splicing?

Hi Everyone,
Does anyone have any experience with fiber splicing? Is this a career path? Is there a cert for it? What is the most common job title for it? Career path?

    I don't have much experience with it, but yes there are career paths for people trained in splicing, maintaining fiber etc. You will usually be a technician in a data center or CO running and terminating fiber. You will most likely have additonal duties as remote hands, installing equimpent etc unless you are on a strictly fiber running crew.
    An expert is a man who has made all the mistakes which can be made.
