My suggestion would be to have a machine that you can load and fool around with 2000, XP and maybe 98. You should try and do everything that the books talk about. Try a clean install, an install overtop and an upgrade. Maybe even a dual boot.
What does everyone think would be a good test bed set-up for the A+ OS exam?
Sounds like you have a good plan already.
Get your hands on as many of the OS's as possible (even some not being tested) as well as all the hardware, set things up, break it, have someone else break it, fix it.....know the material better than the objectives recommend and you'll be all set
