Just passed Security+
Since losing my job in October I've collected the A+, Network+, and Security+ and am planning on the MS 70-680 next. Darril, your book was a great help in my studies and I plan to purchase some of your Windows study guides next. I also watched the Professor Messer videos and took an online prep course through the local community college but I think Darril's book provided the most information. The three simulations I had on the test involved matching ports with numbers, identifying which security controls went with a networked tablet and server, and one that involved identifying which device had provided the best security during an intrusion (or something like that anyways). The first two were fairly easy, but the last was a bit hard to understand, but not as counterintuitive as the exercises on the Network+ test.

Darril Member Posts: 1,588Congrats on the pass. Glad to hear the book helped and that the performance based questions for the Security+ exam are clearer than they are for the Network+ exam. Good luck with your next adventure.
