VLAN question

I know with a router there can be inter vlan connections. Would say a computer contolled by a network admin that is on a VLAN be able to connect to any computer on the entire network? Or would he just be limited to computers and devices that were on one of the vlans?

That of course depends where you connect the computer.
But if you are using VLANs and are not connecting to a trunk that computer will be a normal member of that VLAN.
A VLAN doesn't care if you are an admin or not icon_wink.gif

usually devices on one vlan can't see device on other vlans, but if you configure sub-interface on the router and configure ISL or 802.q then route would be able to forward traffic from one vlan to the other
