CEH v8 questions
So, i am trying to decide if I should wait for the CEH v8 or just go ahead and take V7. So i called EC Council directly.
This is what the told me:
First, there is no date scheduled for the release of the CEH v8 exam and material yet (which I don't understand since that exam is available in the Person VUE testing center already).
Second, that the changes in V8 are only content. They may add or remove some content.
Third, They are ANSI certified since long time ago. It doesn't matter if I take V7 or V8... I will be a CEH as long as I keep EC Council's EPE requirements.
Any thoughts about this?
I was under the impression that V8 just received the ANSI certification......

They had already announced the upcoming release of CEHv8 back when I took the v7 exam in March of last year. I considered waiting then...and pretty glad I didn't. I'd say go for the v7 exam...otherwise, you might be waiting a couple more years before EC-Council ever does actually get ANSI accreditation.

Ask the ECC where the press release is stating that CEHv7 has also been awarded the same accreditation. -

their answer was:
"Oh we have the ANSI certification since long time ago... They just released that press room about V8 with a different wording" -
