When studying for 70-290 should I also look at 70-215 material?

Generally, 70-215 is 70-290 material(but not the other way around).

Most of the 70-290 study guides I've encountered(and I have at least 4 different ones) would be easier to understand if you have experience in 70-215--expecially the M$ self-study kit.

So, I won't say that it's necessary to study both in parallel in order to pass the W2k3 Server exam, but, it can't hurt.

You have to study the exam materials as presented in the 70-290 exam guides, and the study guides are designed for that of course, but this 70-290 needs a lot of hands-on practice/experience to put you at your best.
