Well I have been studying for about the last 3 months or so. I am new to this forum and wanna share my experience with others who are close on taking it. I have used CISCO press ICND and INTRO books to study. I have also sat through 10 weeks of routing classes when I was in college 1 year ago. I have 2, 2503 routers I play on from time to time. I have no problem with subnetting, so I think im ok there.
I have a question though. I heard that before you take the exam you take some kind of a survey. This survery asks you what your strong and weak points are about the different parts on the test. Couple people that I talked with said if you lie and answer a high answer to a topic you know nothing about you get less questions, same goes for if you dont know anything about a topic, you put a high score that you do know it. ex) If your excellent at subnetting you would choose an option of knowledge being bad. Where as if you suck at ACL, you would put a score of high meaning you know a lot. I hear by doing this, you kind of trick the survey into giving you less hard questions on your actual test. Does anyone think this theory works or has tried it?
Thanks

QUIX0TIC Member Posts: 277This would be cool if it was true. I would just say "I dont know shi-ot" to subnetting and OSI layer and then put "I created the damn RFCs" on all the other topics. Then I would just have a test of subnetting and the OSI layer! LOL"To realize one's destiny is a person's only obligation."
