I was wondering if there are any C++ certifications out there. I have seen that Microsoft has one, but I'm all for open source and linux so I would rather get my certification elsewhere.:) Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Not quite as short answer is why would there be? If you claim C++ proficiency and take a job that actually needs it, it will become obvious if you don't have it when you're unable to do your job, and you will subsequently be fired.
Infrastructure certifications typically represent a combination of specific skills and knowledge that cannot easily be requested for on a job add. The skills measured on the MCSA 2008, for example, are about as lengthy as a really long job ad, but way more specific than a job ad typically would be. So certifications can help wrap together that knowledge and prove it where it might otherwise be easy to hire or at least interview a candidate who had a skill mismatch with job needs. While infrastructure certifications don't solve that issue perfectly, I would say they are more useful and more needed for that area.
For being a C++ developer, "general" C++ knowledge need not be shown in a certification. Demonstrated knowledge via a portfolio or discussion of projects worked on is far better-suited for demonstrating skill than some sort of test.
Another note is that unlike Java or specific MS languages, C++ is not "owned" by anyone and is widely used across many platforms. Even if a reputable body attempted a C++ certification, they would either have to dilute it by making it too broad, make it impossibly difficult by making it too broad and deep, or make a bunch with different specific areas targeted. Again, this can be done well enough in looking at an individuals experience.
Finally is someone looking for a C++ developer will probably be looking for a Computer Science degree, and that will probably be more than enough as far as paper credentials go. Not that C++ and Computer science go hand-in-hand by definition, but it would be safe to say someone with a CS degree claiming proficiency in C++ probably isn't lying. -
