Going for MCSA 2012....just a quick question..

how long does one normally prep for these tests (70-410) in particular?
Im working out some goals on a time line here for 2013 and im aiming for the MCSA cert and breaking them (them meaning the tests) into quarterly goals for completion. Is 2 month study and test take feasible Of course it will differ between people here since everyone studies and takes tests different. Just looking for some general info on about how long it would take.

I think 2 to 3 months (quarterly goals) is a good time frame to shoot for and should be more than adequate for the exams. You could probably hammer them out one per month but 2-3 months per exam is a good pace IMO.

Welcome to TE. When I did my MCITP:EA I went exactly at that pace, one test every 3 months. It can be done faster but it all depends on previous knowledge and available study time. In my case study time was the killer as I was working long hours, finishing my degree, and doing certs at the same time.

I am trying to do the same thing and aiming for 3 months per exam but doubt I will hit that goal coming from no past ms server experience.

I'm also going for the MCSA and so far I've only taken the 70-410 exam. This is some info I gathered trough out the process and hopefully this will give you some general guidance on how to approach the 70-410. As for the other exams... I will have to get back to you after I've taken them. Keep in mind that I've been working with Windows Sever environments for about 1 1/2 years.

Difficulty: Kind of easy.
Study Time: 20hrs. Theory and 30hrs. Lab.
