TehToG Member Posts: 194Each of the routers/switches need a IEC lead (kettle lead/IEC 60320-C14) for power. As for cables it depends what you want to do. I'd suggest getting a handful of patch cables (or better yet make your own) and you can do multiple topologies.
You didn't say if the routers had any expansion cards (like a wic-1t). Do they? -

monorion Member Posts: 90 ■■■□□□□□□□Sweet guide!! my last question is the console port, can i use a RJ-45 to RJ-45 rollover console cable and connect it to my PC NIC?

TehToG Member Posts: 194No. Just because it uses an RJ-45 plug doesn't mean it's anything related to ethernet. It's a serial connection that just happens to use an RJ-45 connector.
If you want to connect the serial console cable to a computer without serial you'll need a USB -> Serial device. Due to how windows vista onwards dealt with serial (And indeed how nothing back in the day that used serial actually followed the specification properly) you'll find that some don't work with cisco. If you're buying one make sure it has drivers for your OS and works with cisco.
